Our software makes it so that your computer will bid on your behalf just as if it was a live auction it will go up to your maximum amount according to the increments in place if someone else places a bid. For example, if you place a bid of $100 for an item. Someone else bids $60 and nobody else bids, you win your item for $65, ALSO let's say you place a bid of $300 for an item. If someone else bids $300 and nobody else bids, you will still win your item at $300 because it is the first bid (you beat them to the $300 bid thanks to placing a maximum bid). We are utilizing a soft close auction. This means if anyone bids in the final seconds before an item closes then bidding extends 2 minutes and everyone will only have 2 minutes total to bid again. This is to keep our process fun and fair by preventing "sniping", where someone could potentially "grab an item away" from the should-be winner by bidding in the very last second.
